Tell us about yourself and the nature of your work.
I am an instructional designer at UAEMex, which I graduated from. My job is to manage the design and development of the study guides for the different educational programs offered by our university. These guides are offered for both blended and online learning programs.
What challenges did you face prior to using Kotobee?
We had a difficult time using the previous ebook creation software in which we designed and edited our ebooks. It did not allow us to create smooth and dynamic ebook layouts to meet our students’ expectations of well-structured and eye-catching content. This is where Kotobee came in. It helped us create the interactive content we wanted and offered the best results.

The Solution
What potential solutions did you explore that didn't work out?
We have reviewed a few other tools before Kotobee but most of them did not meet the technological, functional, and compatibility requirements that our educational platform required. Our university offers study programs to a diverse range of students, spanning from high schoolers to postgraduates. So, we had to ensure that our courses and study guides were compatible with all operating systems (including Mac and PC) and digital learning devices (such as computers and mobile phones). Most importantly, we needed software that was compatible with our own educational platform.
How did you hear about Kotobee?
We found out about Kotobee while searching the internet for tools that can help us create intuitive and interactive study guides that our students can access from any device. During the free trial month that Kotobee offers, we realized that Kotobee fulfilled the criteria we were looking for.

The Results
Is there a specific aspect of your ebook that you are particularly proud of?
The ebooks developed using Kotobee are aesthetically pleasing, functional, and didn’t need much time to create. This was an important factor for us since we had to create a large number of study guides in a single semester for the many educational programs offered by our institution.
What metrics do you use to measure the success of your decisions? Has Kotobee affected those in any way?
After getting feedback from the program directors and managers, we found that our students are very pleased with the learning materials that are created using Kotobee. Many of them have even noted that these new study guides are well-designed and much easier to navigate.
The Future
What are your plans for the future?
We plan to explore all the features offered by Kotobee to improve the design and structure of the educational content that we provide to our students. We’re aiming to continue using Kotobee to develop a meaningful, engaging, and fun learning experience that inspires and motivates them.
