The Challenge
Tell us about yourself and the nature of your work.
I am an Education Coordinator at Ohio Energy Project. As a coordinator in a small nonprofit organization, you will find me planning and creating educational material centered on energy-related subjects, teaching our programs to both teachers and students as well as doing the administrative work to keep these programs organized on our website. My goal is to empower Ohio’s next generation of leaders and innovators with a comprehensive understanding of energy and the skills necessary to thrive in the field.
What challenges did you face prior to using Kotobee?
We were looking for ways to host our curriculum in a digital format that was interactive for the users, professional-looking, and relevant for our student and teacher clientele. Not having the expertise in creating and formatting this digital content, Kotobee helped us make our vision of creating an easily accessible and engaging digital curriculum come to life.
What potential solutions did you explore which didn't work out?
After trying out various ebook creation software, we found Kotobee to be the most user-friendly of them all. The support team was also always eager to collaborate and provide answers to all of our questions in a timely manner.

How did you hear about Kotobee?
We were searching on google for the best way to digitize our curriculum and make it interactive for our students, and that’s when we came across Kotobee.
What drove you to choose Kotobee?
Kotobee has a multitude of customizable features, which allowed us to create a unique and interactive learning experience for our students. They also helped us with hosting all our ebooks on the cloud. Moreover, the representatives were always helpful and responded to our questions in a timely manner.
Is there a specific aspect of your ebook that you are particularly proud of?

The Results
What metrics do you use to measure the success of your decisions? Has Kotobee affected those in any way?
This is the first year OEP has used Kotobee to create our interactive ebooks. We plan on measuring the success of this project by collecting students’ and teachers’ feedback regarding their satisfaction with and use of the ebooks.
The Future
What are your plans for the future?
We plan to develop more interactive ebooks to use with the different curricula we have developed in our organization.
